Texture matching, in plain terms
Knockdown, orange peel or smooth — I match what is already on your wall. That means spraying a test board first, letting it flash off, and adjusting until it reads the same from a few feet away in daylight.
Preparation, including patching and priming, takes up about seventy percent of the time. What you see is only the final step. That's why a good patch costs more than a bad one and why it is worth it.
How it usually goes
You text me a photo. I tell you what it is and what it costs. Small patches are normally a single visit. Bigger repairs need a return trip because compound has to dry properly before texture and paint — anyone who tells you otherwise is planning to rush it.

- Can you match my texture exactly?
- Almost always, yes. Knockdown and orange peel are both matchable. If your wall has an unusual hand-troweled finish I'll tell you up front how close I can realistically get before we start.
- Do I need to repaint the whole wall?
- Sometimes. If the wall is old and the paint has faded, a spot repaint will show even if the patch is perfect. I'll tell you which situation you're in instead of letting you find out afterwards.
- How fast can you come out?
- Often same day or next day for small repairs. Text a photo and I'll tell you honestly when I can get there.
